Night work will continue to tie waterline services to the new line. Expect lane closures from 7 PM to 8 AM on North Ave. from 6th Street to 11th Street.

2010 Waterline Replacement Project—Phase 2
Patterson Road: Waterline work continues in Patterson Road starting at 27 ½ Road and working west to 7th Street. Within the construction zone, all traffic on both sides of that zone will be narrowed to one lane.  On Monday, daytime work will begin on boring a new waterline underneath the irrigation canal just east of St. Mary’s Hospital on Patterson. Night time work will include testing the mains, installing lateral lines and reconnecting services a section at a time. Waterline work will continue until late July.

2010 Waterline Replacement Project—Phase 3
Crews are working in 28 ½ Road starting at Elm and proceeding to North Avenue

29 Road Overpass

  • Construction is underway on the 29 Road overpass over the Union Pacific railroad tracks and I-70 B.
  • 29 Road from I-70B north to Teller is closed permanently.
  • Pile driving will take place near I-70B with lane closures in the eastbound lane.
  • Sewer line work will be taking place on the frontage road near 29 Road with flaggers in place to direct traffic.

D Road Bridge Replacement
D Road is closed to through traffic from the intersection southeast of Monument Road to the south for the replacement of the bridge that crosses No Thoroughfare Wash. Residents and visitors to the Rosevale area will be directed to use South Redlands Road as the detour. Please slow down on this detour—South Redlands Road is narrow, steep, and has several blind curves. The detour is on a school bus route and is also used by pedestrians and bicycle riders. Slow down and share the road. The project will be completed by August 19.

2010 Parkway Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Project
Work continues on construction of a new sewer from the intersection of 15th Street and Winters Ave. south to the Parkway and then west along Struthers Ave. to just west of 5th Street. The west end of Struthers is currently closed to traffic. Access to Elam, Randall Industries, B&H Construction and the Botanical Gardens is still open, and may be accessed via 7th Street to Struthers. The project will be completed in July.

  • Central Grand Valley Sanitation District (CGVSD) will be replacing the existing sewer line in East Vista Drive, Ronlin Drive, F Road, 30 Road, Bookcliff Avenue (East of 30 Road), Green Place, Green Court, Eastmoor Drive and Pearwood Court.  The project is expected to be complete by November 2010. The original concrete sewer pipe, which is deteriorating, will be replaced with a PVC line.
  • Work hours on 30 Road and F Road will be from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 Monday through Friday.  The intersection of 30 Road and F Road will be completed during the night, from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. because of the extent of the work and the safety of the contractor and the general public.  The work hours for the other sections of the project will be from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and weekends when necessary.
  • There will be road closures and detours on residential streets when construction is immediately in front of those areas.  The speed limit will be reduced to 30 mph in the immediate work area.  Double fines will be enforced for speeding in the construction zone.

32 ½ Road Closure
32 ½ Road will be closed from E ½ Road north to Front Street from July 12 through August 30. Grand Valley Drainage District is installing a Mesa County storm drain line. Access will be from 32 5/8 Road.
