Permits
A Permit for Construction Within Public
Right-of-Way is required for any work within the public right-of-way
of the City of Grand Junction. Right-of-way includes public streets, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, alleys, and utility easements. Types of work that are affected include, but are not limited to, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water lines, irrigation lines, curb & gutter, sidewalk, driveway changes, utility work, and any activity that impedes or obstructs vehiclar traffic or pedestrian movement.

Construction Within
Public Right of Way application form
can be picked up at the City Engineering Field Services office at the City's Shops complex at 333 West Avenue, Bldg. E, north of Highway 340 (Broadway). Permit services will be available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM, then 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A cost
of $60.00 is due with the completed application. In most cases, Performance/Warranty
Guarantee is required to be submitted with the application. A traffic control plan
provided by a professional traffic control company, and a map indicating the location of the work is necessary to be

Permit
Application for Activities Within Right-of-Way
Three weeks prior to any activity such as a parade, street dance, craft show,
run/walk, etc., that takes place within the public right-of-way
of the City of Grand Junction requires a Permit Application Form for Activities within Right of Way or Pther Public Areas to be completed and submitted for approval. A traffic control plan
provided by a professional traffic control company, and a map indicating the location of the event, is necessary to be
submitted with the application. The application form may be picked up at the Public Works and
Planning Department, Room 245, 250 North 5th Street. Please call 970-256-4076 for further information.
